Will ya'll please pray for my daughter H. Her husband is taking her right now to try to get her into detox. It's a long story but she just needs help right now. He needs help, too. But right now she is the one crying out for it.
And my other daughter A. just called and said she got laid off today.
So all in all not a good day here. It's just too sad.

Will pray for both D's! What a blessing already that she is asking for help, it's a long road to get there sometimes. Special prayer's for him being there for her. A huge prayer for you being the mom, our hearts wrench when our children hurt, no matter how old they are.

I am sorry Kris, but am glad to hear that H is seeking help, that is a huge step! I am praying for strength for her and her husband and also for provision for A. I'm praying for you too!

Of course Kris, what a horrible day for all of you. I'm so sorry that you all have to go through this. I hope that daughter H gets the help that she badly needs and sticks with it through recovery and that her hubby gets with the program too. My prayers are with them and you through this.
I hope that daughter A finds a good job, it's so hard right now to keep or find jobs. I wish her the best luck and a hopeful new start soon.
Hugs to you for being such a caring mom and good soul. It's so hard watching those that we love go through pain and hard times.

Thank you all so very much for all your thoughts and prayers. YES, please put them on your prayer cahins at church!! I know it helps and the more the better!
H is staying at the hospital for 72 hours for observation. She's been on anti-depressant drugs for awhile now and then drinking vodka doesn't help at all. She really hates drinking and would much rather be doing drugs but thought this would be less obvious. It's kind of funny because she said she had heard when you drink vodka your breath doesn't smell like liquer. Ha! I talked to my mom who has worked as a counselor in the addiction field for over 30 years now and she can't tell you how many addicts say the very same thing. Well, it ain't true. Her hubby doesn't think they will put her in treatment but that she will need to be in a AA or Na progarm every day and get her meds fixed right for her. She needs to have a job and go to meetings and just needs a reason to get up in the mornings.
I just feel like a total idiot. When both my kids were younger and doing all the crazy things teenagers do, I always said I'd know it because I did the same things. Well, no, I didn't know it. They were doing things right in the house and under my nose practically and I never knew. They were just that good at hiding things. And to this day I have no clue what's going on under my nose. Again!
I also feel like I should have seen the clues for depression in her. She has gained quite a bit of weight. Doesn't care what she looks like. Never dressed or even put on a bra. Just all hung out. Never went anywhere. She'd get K. up for school then would get back in bed for most of the day. Ate all the time she was up. Her and her DH fought constantly when he was home. There were so many things that I should have seen to know this was going to happen again.
I hope she'll be ok. It's just not good to see all this again. I always have that little nagging doubt in the back of my head that something's going to happen any time. It always does. Sooner or later. I don't know how many of you deal with addiction with family members. If you do, you know exactly what I'm going through with this. It's just always going to be there. I want to trust her and see the good and the progress. But then this happens. Every time. Over and over again.

I'm so sorry Kris. This has to be so very difficult for your daughter, her DH, you and the whole family. Also your other daughter's DH getting laid off is rough too. Prayers being sent for comfort, help, funds, release from addiction and a sense of peace for all.

Kris, you have my prayers! Being the momma--we want to fix all the boo-boos and make everything okay--and sometimes you just can't. I have a 19 year old with aspergers and its a struggle every day. All you can do is love them and pray. So, I'll pray with you and for you for strength and peace and comfort for you all.

Thank you all for your prayers. I am sorry I haven't been around lately. I'll just update a little now.
H just got home from a treatment center after 7 days. Before that 4 days in hospital under constant watch. They now have her on Remron (?) and antidepressant plus another one to help her sleep. She's always had a sleeping problem. Anyway, we'll see. Her hubby is trying to get some groups started at their little church right up the road. She really needs to go to AA meeteings all she can. They are all around here. She just needs to go and be accountable. No one can do this on their own. I hope she will be ok. I always tend to think of when something else will happen. I don't need to do that. That's already admitting defeat for her. So I just need to put all this in God's hands and leave it alone.
A has started her other class on Tues. nights now. So she goes Tues. And Thurs. She is working when she can for a friend with a cleaning business. Still putting aps. and resumes in all over. Signed up for unemployment. Should get that next week.
Thanks so much for all the prayers, ya'll. It really helps and means so much to me.
Krystal, I don't know what that is your DD has. But I know you are doing all you can do for her. We just do.
