Ladies today while I was on my way to meet a new family to clean for there was a breaking news story come across the air waves. The Whirlpool plant has announced it's plans to close it's doors. They are beginning the phase out and from waht I understand expect the plant to be completely shut down by the middle of next year.
My aunt works for the plant, my dad works for a warehouse that most of their business is derived from Whirlpool and my guy's father works for another plant that manufacture's parts for Whirlpool's refridgerators.
My dad has made the comment that he doesn't know what he would do if something happened to his job. He has been at the warehouse for about 30 years. And he feels he wouldn't stand a good chance of finding a new job due to his age.
Will you girls please keep my family and the other families that will be affected by this in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Alee. I found out this evening that dad will be losing his job. His g/f called my sis while he was out of earshot cause she knew he'd never call and tell us. He may have a job up until next June but that's not a for sure thing. It depends on how orders go. I tried to call him earlier today but haven't heard from him. I am really worried about him. My dad has been known as the "Overtime King" at the warehouse. Anytime there was volutary overtime, dad was the first one on the list. I wonder how he's going to handle having all that idle time on his hands.
