Howdy y'all,
Anyone interested in a cowgirl theme apron swap? I'm having so much fun with the Halloween apron that I'd love to have a cowgirl one to taking glamping (glamour camping) in my vintage cowboy-themed camper.
After seeing the western mini aprons that were swapped back in 2008 (see picture below) I think we should add western and/or cowboys to our cowgirl theme. There is some cowboylicious fabric out there!
Signup by Friday, September 4 and aprons will be due to be mailed by November 1. We'll leave it up to swap partners to decide if they want full or half aprons. The swap will include a "tuck", which is a special little gift tucked in with the apron. The "tuck" should be something(s) cowgirl themed and up to $15. Anything I missed?
Sally

Some of us had a mini apron cowgirl theme swap. That would have good ideas if we can find the old thread..years ago. Katmom had some and others. If I get my camera working I'll try to post some pics of a couple tiny ones I got.
I made my mini ones out of parts of old jeans...no seams..some frayed and some out of little jeans pockets. There are so many fun things to do cowboy/cowgirl style. I also saw a former farmgirl member make a regular woman size one and used the hammer loop from carpenter denim jeans as a scissor holder on the side of the apron.
Sally I hope ya don't mind me jumping in with hints from our tiny apron ideas.

yep, we sure did & I always display them on a make shift clothes line when camping. I think I have some pic's posted on my blog, in the "older posts" section.... Ok, Sally, sign me up..... I just finished 4 aprons last nite and am currently working on two more,,,,these 2 are out of burlap based on an old mid 1960's "Lydia's" rug yarn craft/stitchery booklet. I'll post pic's when they are finished. Ok, now to go find some fun Cowgirl print fabric...oh wait,,, I have some! wahooo! I am 1/2 way there to having another apron....lol!

I see them! The western minis that I made are right smack in the middle...has blue jeans hem showing and a button at the top. They are faded blue. :-)

Here is a western mini...the heart is glued on and the square pocket sewn on...then the little bandana is in the pocket. It's a half apron that doesn't even need any pleats or gathers...easy peasy.

Hi Sarah, Welcome...glad to have you here.
Linda...love the little bandana in the pocket...that's a really cute touch!
Girls, my sister and parents just decided to go camping this coming weekend so I've changed the deadline to Sunday, 9/6. Maybe we'll get a few more buckarettes too! I'll make the swamp partners up first thing Monday morning.
