Hello from mid-Michigan!
I'm Anne, a web designer that lives in a mid-sized community and right now I don't have a garden and it's so hard, but I do all I can to live naturally (even with Dow Chemical in the distance). I have two children, Chloe and Griffin.
I love this site, there's so much to learn from everyone and feel so much like home here. I don't have many local friends who spend time learning about herbs, shopping at farmer's markets, growing things, etc. I've often felt alone so I look forward to spending time here and contributing as much as I can.

Hi Julia, Lonestar and Happy Mama!
My daughter is 15 and my son is 9, they're real good kids and this year I'm homeschooling Griffin (I homeschooled Chloe up until 5th grade and it was great, but I had to work more for the last several years and couldn't keep up. She loves school and integrated into it really well. I've already been inspired quite a bit by the board and can't wait to get my copy of Mary Jane's book. See you all on the board!

Welcome, Anne, So glad to have you on board. You're going to love it,I know I have so far. It's a whole community of women with like minds, kindred spirits who love life and kids and animals and flowers and plants and open country and all those things in life that bring goodness to our lives. I always tell my DH, "I'm checking in with the girls." He knows exactly who I mean and is so glad that I found a circle of friends who are into being a farmgirl, no matter where you live. You'll see it said many times, it's a matter of the heart. Presently I live in the city, but my love is the country and this forum helps keep that desire alive and moving closer to our dream of living on the family farm someday. You'll see these gals will be of help in more ways than you could imagine. We're all here for each other in every area of life.
Looking forward to getting to know more about you, your family and your farmgirl dreams and interests. God bless you, Anne.
In His hands, Lynda

hey Anne, I'm new here too, but wanted to say I know how you feel. noone seems to get why we want to live "way out in the boonies," and raise our own chickens, etc. That's why I'm happy to have found this board as well. |

| I found Mary Jane's book at my local bookstore, I'm so thrilled! It's a wonderful book, I can't wait to share this with some of my friends. I'm so inspired already, wow! Thank you for the welcome, I can't wait to participate more. |

Welcome, Anne!!!
So glad you've joined in. This place is filled with terrific gals that will just love ya' and treat ya' like family.
MaryJane's book sits out and is always accessible for me. I just love thumbing through to look at the pics. But, my fave is to read her heartwarming family stories over and over again. As you read the book, make sure you go to the Reading Room and chat about it!
Blessings Catherine
