I've been so inspired by Mary Jane, and by her books. I recently bought the Stitching room, and I have 2 other books on the way. I love the Stitching room book! I made a rag rug and love it! I am going to make a couple of more for my house.

lol, daisy's foot is cute. Yes the rug is very comforatable on my feet. If my husband is real good, i'll make one for his side of the bed, lol.

Karen, it's so easy, it's just single crocheting with a big plastic rag rug crochet hook and 1.5" wide long strips of fabric, like sheets.

I made a crocheted rag rug when I was pregnant with my youngest son, just as a "keep busy" project. He was almost three weeks late and I just kept working on the rug. Towards the end, I had to get down on the floor and move around the rug as I crocheted as it was too heavy and bulky to keep in my pregnant lap. It ended up being about 12 feet in diameter. I use it as the only floor covering in our cabin. It covers the entire living room and sticks into the dining room area too. It's a real bugger to wash but I love it. It reminds me of that time when I was pregnant with Cody.

I have been wanting to try one of these. Was it difficult? I think it would be so much fun. Did you cut all the strips yourself?

Looks great! My daughter and I are going to learn how to make one too. The books I have with patterns don't explain it as easy as I need it. Any help on starting one would be appreciated.
