I dont know if this will work for dog urine, but I use a container of baking soda with several drops of an essential oil, I like lavendar. Mix it well and sprinle it on the carpet, let it sit for a while ans vacuum it up. I use this weekly to freshen up, and store it in a air tight container. Good luck.
how sweet it is to love some one, how right itis to care |

How long have you been using the vinegar? Also have you tried extracting the stain area with a carpet shampooer? And my last question is- are you sure the animal in question isn't re-wetting the stain?
Vinegar should work, just pour it on straight and let it sit. If the mess is really big, you can try using your carpet shampooer, but what I am thinking is that it probably is in your pad, but the vinegar isn't getting down to the pad. Try getting a spray bottle with a jet setting and squirt down past the fibers from close range trying to get that vinegar into the pad.

There is a wonderful products called Odorban. We bought it at Sams Club. It gets rid of the smell. Funny story. I wanted to buy 7 Merino sheep. They were lambs and when I told the lady that I was bringing my horse trailer, she was heart broken, "those teeny lambs will be lost in there..." So I headed down to Boise in our Kia Sportage with the back seat flat and a tarp down. Well, Boise is 5 hours from Salem and when I met the sheep, they didn't look that "teeny" to me, in fact they looked pretty darn close to being fully grown. Well, there was only one way home and before we got out her driveway everybody had gone potty at least once. By the time we got home, there was a pee and poop swimming pool on the tarp and I didn't think I'd ever get the smell off my body. I sent the car to be detailed and it didn't help one bit. So we redid it using Odorban and it worked like a charm. Moral of the story...lol
