I won BLUE for the two I entered. Silvana Sunset and Sanderlings. Whew! Thanks for all the input. MB

I can enter 2 photos at the Stanwood Fair. Only allowed 2. So out of the jillion of pictures I have have taken I narrowed it down to these 3. Whaddya think??
I framed them myself with frames and mats I found here and at the thrift. Easy peasy cheesy ME!!
the first one is Silvana Sunset I took last Saturday. Love the silhouetted barn
2. Is a flock of Sanderlings taking flight on Camano Island
3. A Skagit Valley scene this past Spring. Snow Geese and Mt. Baker.

Just beautiful!! Our fair limits entries to 3..of anything at all. I usually enter a couple home canned things and a needlework something. Fair entries will have to be turned in this year about the same day or the day after I will get home from the hospital after my knee surgery..so I will get things ready ahead of time I guess. 4H kids can enter as many items as they want..so the kids, especially the two youngest, will be entering many items. I just love the fair. I hope I am able to at least go this year...but not sure.
Okay..your photos...I LOVE that top one ..I would choose that one for sure. And the bottom one...I love the mountains and the whole scene..just beautiful. The one of the birds is great too..gosh..it IS hard to choose!! I know you will do really well!!!

We meet again Jenny---in the middle of the night. LOL!!!
I was a 4-H leader for 15 years and the kids loved entering all sorts of things. We had a lot of fun then. Kinda sad to see them grow up---because i never did.
I hope the surgery goes well. Allison (ren-ren) had knee replacement 2 weeks ago and is home now and feeling pretty good. She seems optimistic. I think I am next. MB

Marybeth - Wow! You are such a talented photographer. And your framing jobs are beautiful. Well, all three photos are A++++. But the first one made me go ...OHHHHHHHHH And the second one of the birds made me take a deep breath and let it out real slow. It may not have color, but it has movement and energy. I can almost feel the rush of wings. If you ever go 'pro', you can sell me prints of both those any day.

Just Beautifuly, Mary Beth! Like Janice, I absolutely exhaled when I saw the first one and adore both of the geese pics. The different levels in the last are wonderful. What a great eye!!!

I'm crossing fingers, so much luck! Let us know what happens!!!

Wow, those are all beautiful! This definitely brings back memories of exhibiting at the fair... what fun!

I'm not a photography expert, but I'm drawn to 1 and 2: the simplicity, contrast, and color of 1, and the movement in 2.

Whichever ones you pick, you'll do real well! :D

There is something about #2 that I love. It is not easy to get good clarity like that and it's an excellent shot. #1 is beautiful and fabulous color. #3 speaks for itself, absolutely gorgeous million dollar view. Gee, I'm a big help, aren't I?

Diane I love the flock of Sanderling too. When they fly they just rise up off the beach all at once and it is beautiful.
Lauri Enter your art. Yes!!
And all the rest of you wonderful farmgals--THANK YOU. I am going to the fairgrounds now with all three and will make my mind up then.

Hey, Mary Beth! I love the contrast of that deep red and black in the first photo and the grandeur of that mountain scene, and the sanderlings make a cool graphic pattern. Oh! I know that you will do good at the fair!
