It's been hot, hot, hot here in NC, but today we had a gigantic thunderstorm, the kind that twisted the trees around! It only last for about 30 min., but when DH and I took a walk around the property the air was considerably cooler. We lost two tomato plants and a butterfly bush was ripped from the ground. The giant dahlias were laying their heads on the cement, but I think we can stake them up. I think we can save the butterfly bush as well, we'll cut it off and replant the root ball. I think it'll be fine.
I love storms - it was really exciting to watch - but I don't like the damage they do, I guess we got off relatively easily. |

~~ ~~ Tell me about it!! It's just been so humid, I can't believe it -- the storms we've had are probably the most intense I've seen in a long time -- We've been fortunate that none of our plants or trees have been damaged, but some of the areas up where tom works have been hit pretty hard. Even our poor dog is melting with the heat and humidity.
I just feel bad for ya'll out in west texas -- If there was a way for me to send some of our rain to you, I'd do that in a heartbeat!!
