When I go junking I see new life in just about everything. A can of paint, my sewing machine and I am only limited by my own imagination.

The shower curtain was once a cutter chenille bedspread, window curtain was a cutter satin bedspread.

Flea market finds under $5, wicker shelf above toilet needed fresh paint, white wicker mirror was black and gold, mag rack was a bible holder from a chruch pew fresh paint and vintage swan decals. All the nick nacks are junk finds.

The bench legs were painted and a cover was made from the left over window curtain spread and a dollie added to the top, trash can painted and roses added,
little corner shelf painted and vintage Flamigo decals added.

2 wooded shutters hide the hot water heater, the shelf was repainted and vintage flower decals added makes the perfect place for my china birds.

I know, not the normal bath room. I use whatever I like at the moment where ever I like it. It can all change tomorrow. Like that carpet on the floor. It's gone and I'm putting 50's subway tile down as we speak. LOL Pictures' to follow.

You can decorate on a dime if you only stay focused on the end results.

Smiles, Melody June

What a gift you have to see how things can be repurposed and made new again. I wish I had that gift. You did a great job!

Very nifty thrifty Melody June. You are very creative. I have been keeping an eye out for a chenille bedspread, would like to find a white one for my bed. I see some of the girls have made really cute tote bags out of the chenille too.

I will watch for a white one for you Nancy. I am making a baby quilt out of pink, blue and white scraps and a pink cushion for a porch swing from a really unique pink check one with white pompoms on it. Nothing goes to waste. LOL

Lovely! I just love how you took items that many people would not see as useful and turned them into a beautifully decorated room. Good job, Melody June!

Thanks for sharing,

What an eye you have! I wish I could look at an object and see what you see. I bought an old rolling pen, any idea on what to do with it? (of course other than use it for what it was intended) LOL!

Well yes, I would probably put small hangers on the back, paint it to match my kithen and add hooks across the front evenly spaced and hang it on the back of the kitchen door to hang my aprons on. Or instead of hooks you could screw old drawer pulls on it and then hang aprons on them or even hang herbs to dry.

Oh, this is just the sweetest bathroom I've seen in a long time!! -- And how fabu that you found all the stuff for so teeny-tiny prices!! I love the thrift stores, and am planning on hittin' a few of them this saturday -- I'm lookin' at spots in my studio that need some storage, and some old wicker just may do the trick!!

Post the new pictures when ya can, 'K?!!
