When ever I'm at the thrift or Garage sales I look at the old Children's books. It seems the pictures are so much more interesting then the newer books.Anyway I have to be careful not to buy all the ones I think are cute and just pick up a special one now and then. I posted a picture of a few that I have.

They are hard to resist, Nancy Jo. They make such a sweet, pretty display. I'm just drawn to them anywhere I see them. I have to go over and pick them up and look at the pictures. Usually, I end up standing there, reading the book, if it's a small children's book.

I love vintage children's books too. I love the old C.W. Anderson Billy and Blaze books with the beautiful pencil drawings. I like all the older illustrations.

Janice, I know you are good at finding children's books as I have a few from you that I love. How is your house coming along and are you feeling better?
Jeannie- yes that book just flew right out of here on the barter page.

Feeling great, Nancy Jo. Dry wall is finished at the farm and I have to clean the dust off the walls and get busy painting the primer! My dh just rolls his eyes when I say I get all excited and tingly just thinking about painting! And my dh was asking about Jack and Dave the other day. How are the boys this summer?

Janice, Tell your DH that Jack and Dave are fine. I will post a picture of them soon. They seem to spend more and more time in their chair, they are sooo lazy.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the house as it moves along.

Nancy I bet your home is very warm and welcoming. I love all of the things you find thrifting and you set them up in the cutest displays. Your home must feel like a big hug every time you walk in :)
