I have two firewalls on my PC - Microsoft and Zone Alarm - and also have Google pop-up blocker and Ad-Aware(paid version). I have google pop-up blocker disabled for this forum but ever since I installed the paid version of Ad-Aware I've noticed that certain pop-ups come up momentarily, like 1/2 second, and then they disappear. Emailing other farmgirls from their member profile is one of these. Of course it could be entirely unrelated, as I joined MJF AFTER installing these programs.
I'm not willing to give these tools up completely because I have been a victim of identity theft and I am NOT going to let those creeps into my computer!
Any ideas on what happens within the forum email to trigger Ad-aware to think it is malicious? Or how to selectively turn this 'feature' off?

Hi Brenda. I'm afraid I don't have any answers for you on that - I would suggest you look on the Ad-Aware website to see if there are any answers there, or a tech support link for asking questions about their software. The e-mail members feature does use a pop-up window, so that could be triggering the alert.
I'm glad to see another Ohio farmgirl on our forum -- I'm a Medina native, but have been here in Idaho for many, many years. Miss those beautiful Ohio farms, though!
Good luck, Brenda! Carol

Carol,
Medina is "just up the road a piece" from here! I've passed through many times on the way to Cleveland.
Clare - I just tried your suggestion and it works! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And I used your email above to experiment on so you will see an email from me in your inbox shortly!
