For years I have been flirting with RAW foods. I think it first started back in 1994 when I met Viktoras Kulvinskas and then read all of Ann Wigmore's work as per his instructions.Mr. Kulvinskas is a "world renowned enzyme expert and life long Raw educator. I wish I could say that I just jumped in an adopted the lifestyle, but I didn't. Why?, I dont know as it has always connected with me.I did do enough changes however to gain some results in dealing with what was ailing me. Over the last few years, I have continued to read and research the idea.. giving it a go and not sticking with it every now and again.

There isn't that many things that casue me to hit road blocks. But, his one is certainly one of them. I don't know what it is about dieting in general that seems to build a wall.. I think it is that rebel part of me that hears "you HAVE to"...... as usually that combination of words has the same reaction to me as someone shaking a red cape at a bull..... . Although even I have to admit that I can't believe I am still sitting on the fence with this 15 years later.. UGH!

So along comes my Prosserfarmgirls~ who are determined to at least cheer me on, taking away ALL the excuses. With Farm Fair planning behind me and two weeks until I "Have" to be anywhere.... I did it, I stayed up until 1:30am for the last couple nights, revamping my kitchen (hey isn't there a badge for that?), and shopping for ALL the right ingredience ( organic of course), bagging up things that shouldn't be in my kitchen and sending it off. My friend, and new Prosserfarmgirl leader, Terra and I decided to jump in. Let me just say here, Terra is a former model, so "look wise", We are starting a very different places. She's young and perky and tall and a total KNOCK out...But, we are both looking for health so we are in it together...You can follow our adventure ( good, bad and the ugly) either by connecting to it via our Prosserfarmgirl blog listed below or going directly to www.ruralandraw.blogspot.com

I will post a list of my favorite raw books on the Rural and Raw blog for those that are interrested.

Since we are just "Exploring RAW" what better time to jump in than summer when all our gardens are bursting with things....?

On one of the recent rural farmgirl blog posts, I talked about "dancing like no one is watching".. this is all part of that for me.. along with the fact that I start my 1st Zumba class tonight... lordie, here's to dancing!

Thanks Sarah, No pressure there! LOL Hopefully I will inspire success and not failure! :) But, so far I am enjoying it and having fun. I love going out and picking things out of the garden and seeing what I will eat based on what I find. I do wish I had planted more herbs though!

I, also, love the fact that what I "harvest" from our own garden, I get to it. However, I cannot eat too much raw. Gee, doing that causes me to spend too much time inside. LOL I so enjoyed your post.
