Well it's offical we have it listed for sale and everything! I thought I would post the link in case anyone here is interested in a small patch of land in a farming area.

We are surrounded by farms out here and everyone has either chickens or goats or dogs or doves or something.. we were planning on getting miniature donkeys this year but will have to put that off a year or so until our new home is built. The neighbors are awesome.. the same people who used to live here when I was in kindergarten are still here, if thats any indication of the turnover of this neighborhood.

The yard is huge, it's a little less than an acre and already has the back area all tilled up and ready to plant this spring. We have 2 plum trees, a peach tree, a pear tree, and an apple tree. There are also raspberry bushes and a blackberry bush, strawberries, garlic, walking onions and rhubarb. The trees were just pruned by an expert before fall set on.

I am going to be really sad to leave because I put a lot of work and love into this place, and I thought this is where my kids would grow up, and where my husband and I would grow old.

There is a compost bin set up with some rich compost that has been turned all last summer and ready to put down. The fall layer was put down over the top of unprinted newspaper to attract the worms so it should be really nice and fertile for planting.

The quail are abundant here, in fact this morning there was a whole flock of them picking around in the yard.

Anyway, if any of you are interested, the link to see the virtual tour is posted below. I'll also add that we set our price a smidge low so we can sell quickly. It's not as much fun here without Hal, so the sooner we can move and reunite the family the better.

Bobbi -- your house is awesome. And the price is really great! If I lived in that area I'd sure be interested. Good luck with your sale.

Mine is just a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come together to praise the Lord, and teach all who look upon them to do likewise.

Bobbi, this is great news.. You'll be able to build your dream home now!! how wonderful! I am assuming your husband got a job in Montana..How fabulous for him.. I am sending you big positive vibes for a quick sale on your home so your family can be re-united asap!! When we moved to the Spokane area from seattle it was really hard. I had made the only garden on our busy street and it was such a labor of love.. I had such a hard time leaving it. Not to mention the enormous blackberry patch we had and the huge ranier cherry tree we had in the back yard..sigh.. BUT we found our farm and I have more than I could have ever imagined. I'm sure this opportunity will be just the same for you.. You are leaving behind a labor of love for someone else to enjoy and taking with you all the lessons well learned for your new and glorious place! blessings to you and your family! Julia Hayes

Wow, Bobbi!!! That WAS fast!!! I was going to post that I've been to your house and it is a nice place, but I don't need to since you've already gotten an offer.

We'll miss you, though. (And my pal, Halsey!)

Congratulations!
