I was just wondering what you gals use for plant markers. I have my gardening journal so I know where everything is planted, but I was hoping to find a cute way to tag plants. I would love to hear what you girls do, you are so creative and know how to make things cute :)
Thanks in advance :)

My daughter-in -law made ceramic tags in the shape and colors of the plants, flower and veggy. They are glazed and fired, they have small holes in them with small link chain, they are then hung on metal stakes with small loops.

I too have my plants in my notebook, but decided to incorporate the kids in the project of making plant markers. We took flat wood pieces from Michael's and painted them with acrylic paint, then sprayed with a coating of shellac.

Very cute, April! Maybe when Violet is older we'll do that!
Sorry, I'm not so cutsie...with the baby, it was all I could do to get the garden out, so I just reused my copper tags from last year.
MJF had a cute suggestion in her life book--tin can lids, punched (hammered) with a nail in the design/message you want. Very cute!

Teresa, those sound adorable. Unfortunately I don't have access to a kiln or the equipment.
April, What a great project to work on with the kids :)
Jonni, I don't have MJ's book yet but remember seeing those markers. I think I will give those a try.
Thank you ladies for the suggestions.
