Ugh !!
Moving ; I am glad I don't move very often
we are just about through with our home.
Hubby and I went down Monday night and saw our kitchen counters
they are very nice
However
the table that I had especially made for me to sit and work at ; you know prep work, chopping etc,
Well It is a bit to high for me to sit at
Brother-in-law
the person who is our builder said he checked it by the folding table we had up down in the kitchen
Well ,
when they put the counter top it self on top of the table ; I believe it is to high ; but who can argue with two brothers?
I told them
"Well, it is too late now "
Guess, I will have to find a good chair that is about right for me and add a high cushion Ha.
I cannot set on stools or those bar stools.
Then,
I told hubby I wanted pull down shades in my bath room and my bedroom
I didn't want the mini blinds in there ; cause I wanted to be able to easy raise them up and down for the pretty view we have.
Well, you should have heard the reasons for not having those
Hubby is so negative to every thing I say and suggestion
I told him right then how negative he was to every thing I said
Honestly between son and hubby I have to fight for every thing I want
and in the kitchen
I wanted pull down shades and put up some pretty valances I had material to match the kitchen
they are totally agansit any thing be up on the windows
grant you that there are just mountains in the front and no one on the side of us.
but,
I still think the valances and the pull down shades would be nice in there.
Then,
there is the matter of my victorion fireplace.
Hubby
" Wood is to expensive to get brother to build it now"
He goes and gets a cheap fireplace kit to go in there.[
That was the whole point of the fireplace in the kitchen and dinning room.
He said later.
I know the meaning of later from him
Ugh!!
I feel like a child in my own home
I love my hubby ; but I don't have a say in any thing much anymore.
Going back to the counter tops.
He wanted me to help pick them out well; we met with the guy at the house.
Hubby picked the shade out ;
"This is what I want with the counters!!"
It is the material I wanted; but I would have picked out something to match a little better.
Oh well.
Yall see what I have been doing ; besides still more de cluttering and getting rid of
I don't know if I will ever see the end of it.
Hubby said we are moving this month????
Well, he has been saying that since Jan.
All this stress is not doing all my diseases and health problems any good,
good thoughts and prayers appericated thanks -- hugs Sheila

Hang in there Sheila your DH suffers from man syndrome. It's a sad illness that only effect men. They are unable to hear what their wife is saying. It gets all mixed up in their head. But, they feel they are doing what they were told to do. It's a very sad illness that will only be corrected by them sitting down and asking questions and really talking to their wifes. No pill will help.
My DH still paints everything white. and I can't even ask him to hang a picture as he is 6'3" and the pictures are close to the ceiling. He hung the kitchen cubboards from the ceiling so I have to use a step every day 3 or 4 times a day. I asked him to hang 3 small closet (things that hold a scent in them) that I got from the thrift store. He did it with nails. This is a man who hates holes in his walls, I hang them from a straight pin.
I don't see a cure comming anytime soon. My prayers go out to you.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.
