Hi- I am taking some things to be juried for our local farmers market next week. It's a big market and lots of people attend. I have never really done anything on this scale before especially with my soaps and products. I was wondering If anyone may have some advice regarding display for these types of items. If I'm committed to 8 weekends a season, I feel like I need to figure out something that won't break my back trying to get from the car to where I set up. Display is really important to me and I really want to draw people in as I'm sure there will be other similar vendors. Would love any suggestion about the whole farmer's market process!!

thanks and Blessings,

Missy

One important thing with a display when you are new is to have a similar set up each week. Having some thing they can look for ie tablecloth bannersign etc. Don't display every thing on one level. And since you are new, have some samples.
You didn't say if a table is provided if it is go some day before the first market and practice setting up your display on there table so if you decide you need something more to help, you have time to do it.
To make my table multi level I use grape boxes (I get them from the produce guy at the grocery store for FREE). I like them because they are wide and just the right height for a second level . They are light and are knotched at the top so they can stack in you vehicle. You can take some of your items to market in them then after unloading them flip them over for display. Then cover them with some unique cover.
My table cloth is accually a cheap quilt Bedspread (it looks handmade) and goes with my color scheme of green. Baskets or other unusual containers to hold items . But remember you have to carry all this stuff so make them light weight and nesting.

Thanks so much. I really like the crate idea and didn't think to ask if they supply a table. that would be wonderful if they did!!
