Help, my pumpkins, and gourds spourts are yellow. It has been hot, humid and plenty of rain. Do I need to fertilize? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks Lorraine Farmgirl #500
I would give them a good helping of "poop" if you have it. Mine were starting to yellow the other day and I side dressed them and it almost made a difference overnight. I have friends that grow pumpkins right in their manuer piles- squash just love it!
Lillian that's great to know, I just came home from the farmer's market with a big bag of llama poop! I think my squash and pumpkins will get a little more of it. :)

my tomatoes and beans were starting to do that...too much rain....then it dried out....and they didn't change, so I added some aged manure and some rock phosphate....they now look wonderful!!!
