Where can I find quinoa? Our local grocery store sell the Bob's Mill kind, but it is $12.00. Is this a normal price? I would like to try it, but that sounds a bit steep for a price. Maybe I'm wrong?

You can buy it in bulk, either at a health food store, sometimes your local grocer will have a health food section, and if traveling you could see if a Whole Foods Market is in one of the towns you will be traveling through. Laura

A pound of quinoa is a hugh amount. I would say about 4 large cups.
When I make it I use about 1/4 cup for 4 people. it grows like rice.

I know www.azurestandard.com and www.breadbeckers.com has reasonable prices for quinoa. As Diana said it takes very little to feed a family. I have a family of 5 with 3 teens and I only use a cup for an entire meal. It's much cheaper than buying grass fed beef.

Blessings!

Costco had it last time I went. It was about 2x the amount of Bob's for $10.

Thanks ladies, unfortunately I live about 5 hours away from any Costco or Whole Foods Market. I think that my best bet is online.

Try your local health food store. Our a Kroger's or Meijers should carry it. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods too.
