Hey Farmgirls! A little while back, I mentioned that my participation in Farm Fair this year would be a charitable one. 50% of my proceeds will go to charity and more if my accountant says it's ok. I'll be featuring 5 different charities; 1. Make-A-Wish
2. SuperSibs (an organization that supports the siblings of kids with cancer....It was started by a mom (total farmgirl!) whose son had a horrible leukemia and there was nothing for her older son who felt completely left out much of the time. They now serve over 19,000 families in every state)
3. American Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation
4. Ronald McDonald House
5. Candlelighters ( this is a national organization with a local chapter and they assist families in a myriad of ways. Emotiona support, financial support, and just basically plugging families into services as needed. The Spokane chapter is run by a woman whose husband and 2 children died of cancer. Amazing person indeed)
I had mentioned that if ANY of you fabulous farmgirls would like to donate something, I'd be happy to sell it for you at the fair. Just shoot me an email and I'll give you my mailing address..
Thanks so much! ~julia
