Natural and Safe helps with morning sickness??
I am just at 5 weeks and it started today with a vengeance. It was accompanied byt diahreha (or however you spell that). What is the world is going on? I had m.s. with Tori, but not Levi and neverbouts of tummy troubles aforementioned.
Any helpful ideas would be great!

hugs

Jessie, we have a ginger ale down here called Buffalo Rock that always helps with my upset belly and nausea. And it's caffeine-free. I don't know if it's available in Jersey. Comes in a yellow can. But you might try just any kind of ginger ale. I'm sorry, sweets! Hopefully the morning sickness won't last too long. And it might mean you're having another girl!

Lemonade is the only thing that helped me. I had morning sickness for about 20 weeks, with only two days of no puke. I refused to take nausea pills offered by my MD. Motion sickness wrist bands helped a little.

Toast and 7UP helped me. I had terrible morning sickness with my first pregnancy, nothing stayed down! I became very good at eating foods that didn't hurt my throat when they came back up. The softer the better!

I hope this passes quickly for you.

Congratulations on being preggy! I know you are miserable right now, but I'm happy for the news!
I've heard that black berry leaf tea helps with the lower bowel problems...please check this out for pregnancy safety though.

Hey...congratulations! I agree with the speculation it will be a girl! The Sea Bands work GREAT. You wear one on each wrist and they have pressure points. You can get them anywhere in the pharmacy or med. section.

I agree with the sea bands and also ginger syrup in a glass of sparkling water. Or make a warm tea with it

I drank 1 tsp of bentonite clay to 8 fluid oz of water twice a day and it went away fairly fast. I took it as soon as I wasn't feeling sick in the first few days.

I lived on cocoa puffs and jello/ice cream mixed in the blender. That took care of the 1st 5 mos on my last one :-)

I used the sea bands on my wrists and they helped. I also kept cheerios near me at all times. I ate them before I even got out of bed. I also found that ginger helped also. On a few really bad days I used meclizine. Half of a childs dose.

Congratulations, Jessie!

I could never figure out why they call it "morning sickness", I was sick all day and all night.

I tried a number of tips I had heard about avoiding morning sickness, but the ones that worked for me were:

-never let yourself get really hungry, this makes you more sick when you do eat
-don't take vitamins on a particularly bad day, it makes the nausea worse
-when you eat...don't drink anything for at least a half hour and don't eat anything when you have something to drink. This one worked wonders for me
-canned fruit helps to settle your stomach, just the fruit, not the juice
-peanut butter had a settling effect for me too

All the best with your pregnancy! Hope you're feeling much better very soon.

Jessie,

Vernor's (sp?) makes a more mild and smooth Ginger-ale, that may help. There are also Ginger Chews a chewy candy by The Ginger People that have helped me with an upset tummy and Michael when he gets motion sick. It's worth a try. We fins them at the health food store. I wish I could be of more help but only experience pregnancy once and it lasted 8 1/2 weeks. I am praying for you to get some relief and the rest that you need!

Hope you are feeling better. I was not sick with boys but with the girls sick the first 3 mos with first girl and 5 mos the second, so knew what I was having since I went boy, girl, boy, girl ;-)
I really did live on cocoa puffs and the jello/icecream blend.
