I think that twilight might be my favorite time of day right now. Things are calm at the ranch. The animals are settling in for the night. Everyone has their stomachs full and the heat of the day has loosened it's grasp. The air is soft and sweet, the sky filled with a softening blue light. Colors are still vibrant, as yet unhidden by night's cloak of darkness. The sky is painted in vivid purples and blues, with streaks of pink and brilliant orange. The sun settles on the horizon like a pool of molten gold. There is a sublte softening of the landscape, the hard edges of the noonday sun now blunted and more comfortable.
It's a time for family, for quiteness, for sitting on a porch swing or reading a book. It's a time for reflection and relaxation before the sweet night's rest.

| Oh Alee ! What a wonderful description of one of my favorite times of the day! You can usually find me on the patio with a glass of iced tea and my current read during the twilight hour! Love it ! |

The sky is periwinkle and ripe peach gold...so beautiful...The animals are all settled, except my pomeranian who is wanting to play =)...I am going to go out on the front porch with a cup of jasmine tea and enjoy this perfect evening in a few. Thank you Alee, my sister, for starting this lovely thread!
