Hi again! Today I sold my Coral Yarn on Etsy (Yea! Happy Little Crafters Dance!) so I'm replacing the pic with my newest addition...Mohair locks! They would be great for doll hair or Santa beards, and are super soft and curly! Thanks for looking!
See more of my new yarns in my Etsy store and remember there's always free shipping for MJF girls, so let me know who you are!

Diana, they're gorgeous! I love jewel tones and I'm trying to think of the jewel tone the bottom one reminds me of. Citrine? I think that's it. I'm so curious, how do you make yarn?

Hey Cherry! The top one is a two ply made from two singles, the black is alpaca and the colored is mohair. The green yarn was made from the same black alpaca single, then plied "core style" with uncarded green mohair locks. The mohair is from our goat Mr. T. He's featured on my blog :) Thanks for the nice words!

Ooops, I think I read your question wrong! I shear my animals and take their fiber and wash and brush (card) it. Sometimes I dye it before I spin and sometimes I dye it after. Then I spin up "singles" on my spinning wheel, and then usually I spin two singles together (plying) to make a twoply yarn. It's a bunch of fun and it pays for the hay!

Oh my goodness! These yarns are amazing! I bookmarked your etsy page for when I need to restock my yarn supply! This is inspiring to get my current projects finished!

Diana, The mohair locks look like they would be wonderful to spin! I am going to have to check out your etsy! I am so glad you are getting a better response on your yarn than I did! I got too discouraged about nobody even leaving a comment that I just finally took it off MJF! I am working on some more to list on my etsy right now.

I think your Etsy shop is awesome. I really love your colors, they are so pretty :) Our Etsy shops slowed waaaay down this last month, so don't be discouraged. I think the economy has something to do with it also. It will pick up :)
