My darling Daughter, Darcy, is really broke this year. She works hard and manages to pay her bills and apartment rent but there is not much leftover. (Hello, honey, welcome to my world)
So this year, for Mother's Day she offered to plant my flowers for me. She really likes to dig in the dirt and hasn't any place she can do that at her apartment.
Yesterday, she spent the day planting annuals in my front courtyard and around a tree in the front yard. Then she stayed for supper and.... spent the night here and we had a great time.
Funny how much better your kids like you when they aren't living with you.LOL

That is so sweet Michele! Sounds like such a thoughtful gift! And every time you see your flowers you will think of her!

Oh how sweet. She sounds so much like my Abby. Poor thing works her tail off and still has no money. She had to move back in with us because her hours were cut. She will be moving back out soon but she's welcome here awhile.

I told my 2 DD's I just wanted my car cleaned inside and out for MD and they did! It sparkled when they were finished. I think those are the best gifts our kids can give us is their time now. Everyone is struggling.

You have a very good daughter.

I think they are great gifts. Everyone has to watch $$ today and just time spent with each other is the greatest gift my kids can give to me, phone or in person :-)

What a great gift! My mom would probably love that, or if I could do all the other stuff she drops hints for...like, hanging shelves, hemming pants, etc....
