You know like the kids use for school?

Well, hopefully the cover is slightly stiff. Lay the notebook open flat over the wrong side of the fabric and cut out 1 1/2-2"" larger all the way around with pinking shears and pull over the edges and glue in place. If you wanted to get a bit fancy you could then make an inside cover to cover up the pinked raw edges by measuring around each front and back cover with enough allowance to hem all 4 sides of each. Glue in place over the raw edges left from the front side. You could add lace, ribbon, rick-rack, etc to spice it up. The spiral metal hinge thing would end up being enclosed in fabric. Is that what you had in mind?

About the glue I don't have a glue gun ; and I can't use one because of the problems with my hands
what kind of glue could I use.
I have some I got it is a glue stitch for quilting
could I use that.
Or what kind would you suggest?
