but I'm glad I didn't go for my daily walk at work. I usually go around noon, and there was a shoot-out on the street where I walk...just before noon. I'm glad that all of you were praying for me--God must have heard and decided to spare me any possible harm. I just had this inkling that today was not a good day to go for a walk. Well, from now on I won't underestimate the power of belief. Or the providence of God. Or the prayer power of Farmgirls. I'm still in a bit of a daze trying to comprehend it. The Lord really DOES work in mysterious ways.

That's scary, Cindy. Another example of why we should listen to that inner voice...

Thank you all for your concern. The crazy thing is, they were shooting at each other over a gambling debt. i know the hospital where I work is in a bad part of town, but that's just insane. Why risk going to jail just because someone owes you a few hundred dollars?
On another note, my cousin is OK after a tornado destroyed part of his house. I'm glad God is watching out for my family. Just about a week ago, I bought this magazine called Pray!(Encouraging a Passion for Christ through Prayer). I highly recommend it for anyone who's earnest about prayer.

Cindy, I'm so glad that you weren't hurt! That is very scary. I'm also praying for your cousin and I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin's home but I'm glad that he's ok.

Hug!
