I just picked up a copy of a book of jennifer Chiaverini, has anyone else read any of her books? Do I have to read them in order? Or can I just skip around? Thanks for any info Toni

Toni - I have skipped around with them depending on which one was available at the library - didn't really seem to matter except that The Quiltmaker's Apprentice (think that's the title) gives you the background to the whole deal - I happened to find that one first. Other than that, I don't think it makes a big difference.

I love all her Elm Creek Quilters series! I have read them "mostly" in order...the first few I didn't since it wasn't the way I found them. I don't think it matters too much either...but like Amy said it is a good idea to get the first one and get the history of the deal. I LOVE the sugarhouse quilt and some of the other historical ones.

We have another thread about this series. It is quite popular with us farmgirls! I have read most of the books, but not in order. They are so popular at my library that it was impossible to read them in proper order. I didn't have any trouble piecing the story lines together. They are wonderful books and I am thrilled I stumbled in to them.

I'm going to my library tonight anyway, so I'm going to join you and the other farmgirls and begin reading them! Cool! Thanks for asking about these Toni. I wasn't even aware of these books.

I LOVE all her books. I have them all and read them all in order, mostly. I only have to get her latest 2, but that will take a while, DUH!!

But you can read them "at random". Enjoy!!

Thanks Dutchy. They had four different books in my library in this series, so the one I got to read is called The Quilter's Legacy. I can't wait to get started!
