Anyone have a good way to clean clothespins? I always hesitate to use my clothespins on white or light colored clothing because they look like they might leave a dark mark on them.

Anybody? I googled it, with no results. I wonder if you can just wash them in soapy water and spread them in the sun? I'll try that - let you know how it works.

I would worry that they would mildew where they come together? Maybe a good dry scrub with a stiff brush? Sounds like a boot camp punishment!

Yeah, the trouble here is the clothespins get mildewy anyway, we have so much rain. I try to bring them in everytime, but once in awhile I forget and before you know it you have a bag of yucky clothespins!

I clean mine with a combo of Shaklee's Basic H & vinegar..soaked in a bucket with hot water, rinsed & then dry in the hot sun. Works for me.

What about leaving them on the line? I do just that. They naturally weather, but stay clean and have never left marks on anything.

If it's not illegal, unsafe, or immoral, why not try anything once? Who knows? You may come back for a second helping!
