I've made the MJ laundry soap and have been using it for a couple months now. I really like how it cleans but I need to know if there is a natural spray for stains. I don't want to use spray and wash. Does anyone have a suggestion or a recipe to make my own stain removal? What do you use?
It all depends...sometimes I simply use lemon juice and baking soda with a toothbrush. I've also read about peroxide, but honestly, that's really about it. I don't know that Dreft is natural, but I've been using the Dreft stain remover since we had a baby--works REALLY well :)
I feel the same way Gail...now that I'm using the homemade detergent what kind of stain removal...then I remembered years ago I kept Fels Naptha on hand for stain removal...just wet it..rub it on the stain. Of course there are other solutions too...depending on the stain.

I agree with Melissa about the Fels Naptha soap. I keep a bar in an old enamel coffee cup right next to the washer. I usually wet the spot / stain with water from my laundry sprinkler, give it a good, hard rub with the Fels Naptha, and then just throw it in with the laundry. I've yet to have a stain that wouldn't come out.
