We have a miniature Schnauzer named Jenks who will be one year old May 21st. My dear hubby bought him for me last year for my birthday. He is all white and his father and mother were both salt and pepper. I named him Jenks after the Chicago White Sox pitcher. Day before yesterday I bought another one from the same lady. This one is a year and a half old. She has had 2 litters of pups and the lady only allows them to have 2 litters and then finds them a new home. She's a sweety. Her name is Sophia Mae, actually it was Zoey Mae and I didn't like Zoey, so I tried to find something close to sounding like Zoey. She doesnt' seem to mind and comes when I call her, she probably thinks I have a speech impediment or something lol but she listens when I call her Sophia. I thought it was neat that her middle name is Mae, that was my Moms middle name and Sophia Mae was born 3 days before my Mom passed away. So she's even more special to us. Jenks likes her a lot but Sophia is still getting used to him. I love my schnauzers. They keep me company as I'm alone a lot.

~~Blessings, Mikki Jo

Mikki,
Congrats on your new addition. I too got a darlin dog when she was 1 1/2 years old. She is a yorkie, her name was Sidda Lee but I didn't like her name so we call her Sophie. I guess that is close enough for her because she come when I call her for dinner.lol

Blessings,
Tina

They sound like alot of fun, Mikki. I love the names. I have 2 Rat Terriers and their names are Sophie and Zoey. They will be 12 July 7th. Still getting around like puppies.

Enjoy your babies.

Mikki, that is so great! Schnauzers are so adorable. I just love their little whiskers. An all white one must be so pretty. I know what you mean about dogs being a lot of company. My husband Tom and I both love our doxies to pieces. They are so much fun and such good company. Dogs can make such a big difference in your life.Soon the two of yours will be best friends.

Congrats on your new little lady Mikki! I've always thought Schnauzers were SOOO CUTE!!! My grandma has a mixed breed Schnauzer/wirehaird terrier named "Taters." She has the eyebrows and mustache like the Schnauzer. Too funny lookin' and too cute!

Mary Jane-- I grew up with Doxies! Spent 22yrs of my life with them. I LOVE those dogs, though I have Chihuahuas now. As much as I love my little monsters-- when they are gone to that great big dog park in the sky, I'm going back to DOXIES!!!! or some other small dog-- no more Chihuahuas. They're quite a handful despite their small size.
