My problem is that I never know under what topic I saw something so when I go to do a search, it is hit and miss as to if I will find what I am looking for.

Is there any way I can just type in the topic I am searching for without having to say what category it is in?

LynnMarie- sometimes you can use google to help you in this case. Type in using the quotation marks "www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz" and then whatever you are looking for "Jam Recipe"

If you can remember a key work or something like that- that helps too. Then when the result page pulls up, scroll to the bottom and click to show all similar pages.

That's an excellent suggestion, Alee.

We did have to limit our searches on the Chatroom by topic, LynnMarie, because certain searches were really bogging down the server our forum is located on. It was a technical limitation.

I agree, it would be nice to make that option reavailable; but we're having to compromise in the name of overall user experience.
