This wil have a bit of a religious note so here goes
To us Christians, this time of year ought to have more weight than Christmas.
To the Jewish person, it's a time for renewal and reflection. And this is the course I wish to touch on.
As Christians we were of course taught about the plagues of Egypt in the Old Testament and about the blood on the door posts and the passing over.
Thought nothing much else about it until this tradition was demonstrated to us by our pastor. One late afternoon, we had a Seder, read the little book and ate the traditional foods.
It's very interesting, ratualized and set the stage for a pivitol time in history that is still passed on by families.
To anyone out there who is Jewish or who has Jewish friends, I would encourage you to participate in one if you can.
And to avoid confusion, Passover IS different from Easter |

That sounds very nice....I have heard of them but not been a part of one yet. I believe Passover could be a time of reflection and spirituality for Gentile Christians also.

I have never heard of that before. It would be nice to do it though as I think the more you learn and take part, the better you can understand! :) Thanks for sharing and reminding... hugs
