This is why all the little ones keep getting sick and my plants are oh so confused! Last week it was a horrible tornadic storm that pelted hail up to BASEBALL size on everyones homes, cars and plants. My outdoor kitty was not happy when I got home! Then it got HOT! Into the 90's! Then it got cold, lows down in the 30's. Then hot again Saturday....90's.... then yesterday 50's! Today in the low 60's, tomorrow in the low 80's!? On top of that the pollen count is off the chart (as usual when a cold front blows in!) The only weather you can count on in Hill Country in Texas is SUPER HOT in July & August! Besides that it is a coin toss from day to day!

Hey!
I am a Texas girl in Michigan....I know what you mean. The world is definately changing. We are expecting snow for the better part of this week and then get this...a high of 42 by Saturday!
HA!! I Love the fact that you 2 are totally opposite each other in names and places!! I live in hill country and the weather has been just as weird this past month. I posted I am doing the plant dance right now- out during the day, but only on the ground because anything hanging would be torn off from the wind and in at night. We are supposed to get down to 38 tonight, so with the wind, that is freezing.
My mom is in Sault Ste. Marie so it is weird to talk to her and say "it is so hot today.... in the 90's" and she says "it is so cold I can't even remember being warm!"

We've been to Sault St. Marie many times mostly to the locks to watch the big ships coming through.
How on God's green earth did you end up in Texas? I find myself lately asking a similar question how on God's green earth did I end up in Michigan? (My dad retired from the service here to be with his aging parents). I'd give anything to be in 90-degree weather right about now. We are very close to the Bay of Green Bay about 2-blocks and when the wind whips off the bay you can really feel the chill!!
We moved here when I was 11 and my step-dad transferred. All the way to Texas I was saying I was going to live with Grams and Gramps as soon as I turned 13. Well, that was 25 years ago! Everyone went back and here I am still! (Of course meeting a future husband was involved!) I still think of myself as a "Michigan Girl" though I have a Texas twang! And I will never get used to 110 degree weather! I sure you feel the same about lake effect snow and drifts up to the roof! But at least you will be comfy in August.... I will just be sweaty!
