I have my bosses 11 year old daughter today and I need some great ideas of things to do.

It's cold outside, snowed last night so outdoor activities are out. She's driving her Mom crazy so I have to try to get her occupied out of the house.

She loves to read so I'm thinking of getting her a library card and combing the shelves for and hour or so.

Then off to subways for lunch.

Collages maybe? Or we can bake.

Any other ideas ladies? Save me!!

all those sound really good. Window shopping is always an option.;) Making pizzas together, playing board games, writing letters?
hehe..I cant really remember what it was like being 11, but I know shopping was always top on my list...LOL

Those are great ideas. The pizza making sounds fun. Maybe you can take her thrifting. Her parents might appreciate that.

Making cookies was always enjoyed by kids of any ages. Making card's out of old cards and leftover junk for a nursing home. Pizza sounds good also.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

I would say reading, the baking ideas sound great, and if it is really cold out your could always do something like giving her some water with food dye in it so go color the snow with.

Here is a link to some fun activities:

Well the child was wired for sound almost as if someone had set an IV of pure sugar up to her and then let 'er go! She was exhausting! Turns out she had her own ideas, reading and painting her fingernails BUT the time will come very soon when I'm going to need all of these ideas ladies. So thank you very much for all of your assistance.

Glad you survived Linda! I always have a hard time adjusting to the different age groups and their different interests and development levels!
