I read the first 6 or so pages and the last few pages of the big thread about mail art, and I have a question. On one of the first posts, explaining how this works, it says we send to the person behind our name on the list. But later it sounds like people just send to whoever whenever.
So what does everyone usually do? Send to one person or several people or no set pattern? How often do you send? Whenever you can or is there an unwritten schedule?
I don't mean to pester you-all with this, but I'd hate to not be doing it right and accidently slight someone as a result. I got the new list tonight and am really excited. I went through lots of my scrapping supplies this past weekend to see what-all I have, and I'm anxious to start getting some things started.
Oh, another couple of questions. At first, the instructions said something about post cards, but as I read along it sounded like it was post cards, letters, just about anything. Is that right?
Thanks for your patience in answering a newbie's questions.

Everyone does it just a little different I think...we kind of started recomending starting with the name just after your own on the list, mostly just so that everyone didn't start at the top of the list and the ones at the bottom didn't get totally left out. I can't imagine tht many of us get to everyone. I know I havn't. I have tried to do as many as I could..and did start with the one right after my name. It is whatever you want to do..some are little mailables, some are cards, photographs, postcards, collages...just whatever you like to do. It is really fun.. I hope I answered your questions. There is a place on the home page somewhere where you can go to see pictures of mailart that they set up at the farm..stuff they recieved from everyone who mailed to them..it gives lots of ideas...if you can find that it would be a good place for you to see what others have done.

Thanks, Jenny, your answer was just what I was looking for! I've got papers to grade this weekend, so I'm going to get that done tonight so I have the rest of the weekend to play with my stuff and see what I can come up with. Have a great weekend!
