I think this might be real, maybe Pima or Papago. It may be missing a lid. Not sure though.
This is a Calphalon saute pan and heavy as can be. There is something in the bottom, can't tell what. How do I clean this safely? It's anodized (sp?). Heat and scrub with salt?
The bottom of the saute pan.
I bought this just cuz I like Corningware. My mom used to have a lot of it.
I also bought what I thought was one of those fish baskets that fishermen prop on their side but my hubby (who's a fisherman at times) said it was for decoration only. Well, it's cute anyway!! But does anyone have any ideas how to clean the pan so it will be safe to use??

Thank you guys!! I looked at the Cal website and have the Comet and the scrubby thing. Kind of surprised me but it's on the website.
Thanks, ranchetta. I'll take a lookie-loo in a little bit. I'll check your blogs too. Blogging has turned out to be great fun for me.
As for the basket...it's kind of iffy to me. I grew up on in and around the res's down there cuz my dad worked on them quite a bit and on one hand, it looks 'right', handmade but a little sloppy. I don't think it's a Hong Kong one but they are so well done now it's almost impossible to tell them apart from the real deal. Still, I like it. :-)
