This afternoon I started roasting a chicken. It was in the oven at 275 for 2 hours, then the power went off for 2 hours. Should I keep baking it until its done, or throw it out?

I would probably throw it out just to be safe. I would measure the temp first- if it stayed above 165 degrees then it should still be okay. I would feel better if the original temp had been higher to kill any bacteria, but after just 2 hours in a low temp roast like that, the core might not of even been warm yet.

I probably wouldn't chance it either...not worth it. Darn it.

I would also not take a chance on the chicken. I'm funny about our meat. What a shame, roasted chicken sounds good.
