very nice stanchion!! Ours came from a glance at an old (I MEAN OLD!!!!) book that had an illustration of a goat stanchion. The illustration wasn't a good one, either. The guy milking in the picture blocked half of the construction of the stanchion. Rob managed to draft it up and we pulled it off! It's fantastic!

You did a lovely job!!

Lisa, that is extra nice! Love the step up too!

I made mine last year (with DH help) and I felt like I conquered the world. I had a fear of big power tools!

Congratulations job well done!

That is very nice. You did that yourself? Have you used it yet? My hubby and I made ours. We took down the old pull down stairs going into the attic and had stairs built. So we used that and some old flooring we had, too. No money in it at all. And I am borrowing 2 more that a friend and her hubby made. Yours looks so clean and very sturdy.

Dear Kristen:

Yup, all by myself! I'm glad to hear you used found lumber for your stand. I looked around and couldn't find anything here. It only cost about $40.00 to make though. I haven't used it yet, only because I don't have a goat in milk. But I will! Soon! Yay, can't wait!

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments.

Smiles,
Lisa
