I have a dear friend who's birthday is fastly approaching...though we live over a 1000miles apart, she and her 2 sons are so very dear to me.
Anyways, I found a small piece of Mary Englebriet fabric in the sale bin over at the JoAnns Fabric store. Just big enough to make the center of this apron and a few Yo-yos too!.
I also used my Bernina Embroidery machine to embroider her name on the apron.
I think it turned out cute and now I want to make one for myself! Now if I can just find some more of this cute fabric.

Very cute! I love how you can take a piece of fabric and turn it into something amazing....and then it's a one of a kind....perfect!

I have to say, with my eyes...(I need reading glassing) I am finding it harder to work on navy blues and blacks.
I had a tuff time stitching black thread on black fabric but it was worth it for the end results.
This apron takes 3/4yd for the ties, ruffle, waist & pocket. The main part can be made from a 1/2yrd.
This one is a size small but fit's more like a medium.

Nice job, as usual. You are going to have to check out my Bernina and tell me if it will do that embroidery stuff. See you soon. I am off to Seattle tomorrow.
