So there's just 1 week left to go before I make this and I have a question:

How many cakes does the recipe make?

I have pudding and a box of cake mix for 1 but am ready to make duplicates since i don't want to mess up the recipe

I have been talking this cake up for weeks now (no pressure!) so folks at work are looking forward to it as much as I am!

Anna, enough for 3 cakes. I make them all at the same time and freeze, of course they don't stay in there long! they also make nice gifts....

do you have the recipe for how this is made? I tried this years ago(I remember it having pineapple, cherries in it)..and don't remember how it goes but..I do remember the mixture popping the lid off of my tupperware container in the middle of the night..lol ....in fact the mixture was pretty ripe and the lid kept going phht, phht, phht..for quite a while..LOL it was hilarious..that's how I really remember this 30 day cake thing...nothing like being woke up in the middle of the night with a talking cake mixture...LOL
but..would love to know the ingredients and steps to creating it.
Thanks.

I have a starter that is probably 20 years old. I made some during Christmas. I love that cake. I have to be very careful or I will eat a whole cake at one sitting. I think the older it is the better cake it makes. You could also make muffins or cookies, too.

ok

i copied the recie down and it said something about the frosting being enough for 3 cakes, but noting about the batter itself

thank you

and like i said before, there's a lot of people looking forward to this, SO there ought to be enough for everyone then :)

My mixture is just covered with celophane draped on the top. You can really smell the fermentation

If this were high summer, there's no way this could be done we always get ant invastions if there's the remotest hint of anything sugary left around!

the recipe for this can be found under the HERMAN subject

and thanks again!
