Taking water out to the chicken studio every day, slopping it all over... was getting to be a pain.. So since I have only 3 layers right now... and the warming light is on & keeping it warm & toasty. Isn't that great when we finally find a better way to do something? Now that's using the ole noggin, Cheryl.
I have hoses all over the place but they never seem to reach far enough. We need to go ahead and run a line from the pipe along the driveway for the garden that is just too far away. That way we can just put a faucet out there with hoses. One of these days.

I took a garden hose and buried it about 3 inches in my back yeard ( actually it was 2 hoses put together and then I hooked up a garden hose on both ends:). No one thought it would last a season. It's on it's 5 year. The only time I will dig it up is when it springs a leak and I bet it won't even be this year. I do unhook the end hoses and store them away. The underground one is on a hill so it drains it's self. If your land is flat just start with it buried 3" then go to 4 or 5 so it will also drain it's self.
