Just started a 7-day set of redwork dishtowels. The transfers were generously donated to me by fellow farmgirl, Janiee....aren't they sweet?
Hexagons! I bought a beautiful Grandmother's Flower garden quilt locally about 10-years ago by a sweet little old lady who said her mother had quilted this and that her mother was born in 1898 and passed on in 1957...so it was pretty old when I bought it. I had it on my daughters bed when she was little. Well... it started getting pretty tough looking so I salvaged about 10- squares and bound the edges and appliqued them onto of all things cotton hankies....I still haven't decided what to do with them yet, but at least they are restored and ready to go....I love to RECYCLE!
I found this Art Deco table runner packed away in my old cedar cabinet. I washed it (gently) and repaired the stitching around the blue bird and trees. These are also hand painted on linen...Don't you just love those funky trees?
Wow, everything looks super. Don't you feel wonderful getting things repaired and off the list? I have been doing that too. It's a good feeling. I too am enjoying my soap, patcholi...love it. :D
