Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for Carob Brownies? MY husband doesn't like them but I do and he's away for a couple of days :)

Thanks in advance :)

Hmm, my mum never ate chocolate when I was growing up, so we'd use carob instead....I have her carob cake recipe, but nothing for brownies. I would think you could use a regular brownie recipe and just substitute carob powder and carob chips for the chocolate it calls for....? I can post the carob cake recipe if you'd like, too. But I wouldn't call it tried and true, lol. Haven't made it in years, and I think it was formulated when mum was going through her 'no salt, no oil, no sugars' stage in life.... LOL It IS good, but you might want to make some adjustments.

Thanks Jodi!

I actually found one today and will be trying it soon. My brownie recipe calls for a 9x13 inch baking dish and I really didn't want to make that much. I love chocolate but was craving the taste of carob :)
