I'm an amateur but I LOVE taking pictures (sometimes creating art from the shots I've taken using a variety of software applications). I especially like nature and macro digital photography but I appreciate the art of most all photographers. I've seen some wonderful shots on various MJ's members' blogs and would like to see more of them!

Let's share our pictures!

Photos, you want more photos!!! I don't have a blog page yet so here are just a couple of photos.
..........................................................................................................................
This is a photo my 18 year old son took on a friend's farm a few years ago.

This is a self-photo he took a couple of years ago. He had to sign a release on it to be published in a book by picture.com. Yep, proud mom here!

We took a family vacation a couple of years ago to South Dakota. We were stunned by the quiet beauty of Wounded Knee.

I am the "picture" taker in the family!

I love photography as well, and am learning a lot all the time. Sometimes I get great photos and sometimes they flop!

Hi Carol--I love to shoot pics. You've seen my blogs--some good some only so so, but I love my camera. I would like to have one with a huge zoom and all that but i am happy with what I have. I've never altered them or whatever people do. What you see is what I took. Do I want to know?? MB

StarMeadow.. I love your shots. I take a lot of scenery shots . My sonis really the best photographer in our family , he did that while he was in The Army deployed during DesertStorm in Saudia Arabia.. His Father in law keeps him abreast with technique as he is also a Great Photographer . I try and like some shots like these.

My husband and I love to take pictures all the time. I have a few pictures on my blog but I have over 1000 in my computer just waiting to be seen. We will be going down to Yellowstone Park this weekend and I will try and add more pictures. When we lived down in the Salt Lake valley we belonged to a camera club and learned a lot of things. Look in your communities and see if they have a camera club. You will be surprised at what you learn and the friends you make.

I love all the photos. I don't know how to attach pictures. I am going to need to get my son to help me. We had a beautiful snowfall last night. I was out early snapping pics. I wish you all could see.

BE HAPPY!!!

hey southerncrossgirl,

I use photobucket. I post my photos there and get the IMG code then paste that to a message. Check it out. It is pretty easy (after all, I could manage it! LOL).

Hey, Melody..

I've taken quite a few pictures of old cemeteries in various towns and always feel in awe regardless how majestic or tiny the markers are...just to know that someone rests under this spot! By taking that picture in South Dakota you probably know how I feel...

Why thank you Carol. I love old barns anyway so when I uploaded his photos and saw the barn photo, well what can I say, I love it! We gave a framed print of the barn to the friend who owns it along with a tote bag with the photo on it for Christmas.

I checked out your alter photos and it was hard to choose a favorite but then I saw the tree... that is my favorite!

I have some sketches of trees I've done years ago. Ah, old barns and old trees go hand in hand, don't they?

I loff to take photos. The posted photos are just lovely!

I bought a super swanky camera and it's over my head. It takes great pics but a little labor intensive. I'm trying to learn to loff it just like my Easy Share.

I would like to take photo course also.

Winona ;-)

I love taking pictures. I somehow talked my grandfather (who is a professional photographer) to give me one of his cameras. hehehe. I love grandfathers!! So, now that is is going to be spring....I'm ready. I really won't to do the blog thing, but I'm not sure how to go about that yet. Love everybody's pics that they put up!!

Rebecca...the blog thing can be a little intimidating at first until you catch on
Google's free Blogger is pretty easy to figure out (after a fashion!) Seems like I was calling Cheryl almost daily with questions when I started mine but I think I have it pretty much under control! Ha Ha Ha

Can't wait to see some of your photos.
