I just got an e-mail from my friends that own a horse ranch in Potlatch Idaho. Today my friend, mentor, and adopted family have had to make a difficult decision.
Two weeks ago the foundation mare of the ranch developed an undiagnosable neurological disorder. She has stayed healthy, but can't control her hind quarters. Her name is Chelima, and is the mother of RHR Safar.
Unfortunately, The vets at WSU say there is no hope for a recovery and my friends have had to make the hard decision to put her to sleep. Please keep them in your hearts today as this is tragic for them.
Bye my friend

Oh Alee, I'm sorry. I know how hard it is to make that decision. I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Alee--it's always sad when a horse dies. They are such beautiful, majestic creatures and Chelima was no exception. They can also be good friends--it may sound strange to hear someone say that, but I've known horses that I consider as friends. Cindy "Horses leave hoofprints on your heart" |

What a beautiful horse. How sad they must be to lose such an animal. I'll be praying for them.
