I just saw a Goldfinch on my thistle feeder that is starting to turn gold! First one I've seen this year. I'm taking that as a real sign that spring is just around the corner! Yippee!

I hope you are right too! This beautiful weather would so hard to just give up. :)
Nancy Jo--I'll send some robins and blue jays your way. They are starting to come out in little bunches here. ;)
hugs

I love Goldfinches. I don't usually see them til late spring here.

I have a pair of Blue birds building a nest in a blue bird house out in the chicken yard! Thay are busy little birds.

I saw three robins in the grass outside my office yesterday, mentally noted that they were there, and did a double-take about five minutes later when I realized... I was seeing three robins LOL! I hope they weren't fooled by our false spring this week, but they were certainly a sight for sore eyes.

I was just noticing yesterday that one of the goldfinch that come to our feeder was just barely starting to become brighter as well. As far as robins go, they never left here this year! I hope that means an early spring!

I saw robins last week too but then we got snow so spring is yet a ways off. I also heard birds have migrated more north than they use to with grobal warming. But they are back in Spokane and that is a good thing!! Spring here I come!
