Theresa.....the pattern in WUA says single crochet....can we do double or other as it would go faster, for me anyway. I have RA so I can only crochet so long per day before the hands give out and lately I've been pushing them with sanding drywall too! It's already March....I've got to speed up!!!!

Oh, Sandra! I'm so sorry, I should have clarified that you don't have to use the pattern on WUA! You can do whatever you'd like as long as it comes out to 7x9. I've done a few alternating single and double crochet rows, they work up pretty quick.

Thanks for your help!

It's April 1 but not sure if that's when they have to be in to WUA or to Theresa? You might want to shoot her an email.

Yes, I was thinking mail them to me by April 1st if you want them included in the Farmgirl Blanket. I'll need to get this done before time to plant my garden, so that's the only reasoning. Blocks can always be sent to WUA or dropped off at most Michaels craft stores as well.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Theresa,

I am still a beginner in the knitting department. I understand that the squares should be 7 x 9. Does is matter what size needles?

Sharon,

Welcome! Whatever size needles you want and whatever stitch is the easiest for you is just fine. The finished dimensions are the most important. It's actually a good way to hone those skills! Can I add you to the contributor list then?

Theresa,

Sorry it took so long to respond, busy weekend!

I have a few things going on right now so I would hate to commit and not be able to follow through. I will try to make a couple and who knows you may just get a package in the mail :)

Sharon,

No worries! I just added you to the list, but no pressure. I just want you to be recognized for desiring to help out with the project. If you don't get any done, no big deal!

Wait a minute. . . Sharon. . . in SW Colorado. . . I think you just placed an order in my etsy shop. Thank you!!!!!! I just sent you an email without realizing you you were a Farmgirl!! I used to live in Durango, btw, met my hubster there!

Sandra,

Oh, man. . . do I know what you mean! I've got SO many things on my radar right now, crazy! Don't put any pressure on yourself, sister, you are doin' just fine. Let's just go ahead and set the April 1st deadline as the mail date, that'd be ok.

Thanks again!

Sharon (calicogirl),

Wow, you are speedy woman! I received your blocks today and they are lovely! Love the blues! Thank you so much! They were wrapped so cute too, mind if I steal that idea? ;) Oh, and by the way, your "beginner" knitting looks much better than mine!

Theresa,

I'm glad that you got the blocks okay. You are too kind on commenting on them!

I actually got the idea for wrapping from one of the farmgals here on an older post (and I saw it on the Pleasant View Schoolhouse blog)

That would be great! I had company this week (2 little grandbabies) and they wore me out and now I'm sick....sinuses, fever, cold, the whole nine yards! Love em dearly but they are little germ carriers!

Janiee!!!!!

I received your box today and got a bit misty eyed! You are so generous to donate so many lovely pieces of work and extra yarn along with your blocks! I thank you so much! The giving nature of all of you has been so healing to behold. I am thinking up some fun for ya'll to say thank you when we are all complete!

Let's extend our deadline . . . everyone who's still working on blocks, just keep on truckin' and send 'em in when you can.
