I think I am finally ready to design my web page. I bought a book on designing web pages. That was a joke!!! So I guess I am going to have to aks for help. So, does anyone have any advice or know of someone who does this for a REAL good price?

I use Dreamweaver for my site. I think it's best to design/build it yourself because you'll need to know how to fix it when it crashes - and that "will" happen at some point. You don't need to know how to write html code with the newer software. If you run into trouble, you can always hire a computer person at a local college.
Good Luck

I have my site hosted by Godaddy.com and they have templetes for designing your own site. I think the cost of hosting the site, web domain and templates is around 30.00 per month....

Note*
the template monster templates are pretty tricky to use, I recommend that you know photoshop and dreamweaver pretty well. You have to slice them in photoshop then transfer to dreamweaver.

I do some professional web design for a few folks around our town. Like some of the girls above, I recommend Macromedia Dreamweaver and the compatible Fireworks (Photoshop). It takes some time to feel your way around the programs, but they really are quite fantastic, and they offer you the most flexibility.
My secondary recommendation would be to use Microsoft FrontPage 2003. I ONLY recommend this if you have a fear of learning new programs that look pretty complex. FrontPage significantly limits what you can do, which can be extremely frustrating if you're trying to get a streamlined-tech savvy-highly visual site.
Also, bluehost.com is one of the best webhosts on the web. They are streamlined and easy to use. I am currently using them for four sites. The break down is about $6.00 a month if you pay for two years. They offer fantastic customer support as well.
I wish you the best of luck. I know how frustrating this can be! If you have any questions, email me!
