Had a little crafting time last evening. Just sitting in my Pink Room, listening to the radio and playing with my buttons. Made a little pretty frame.

Thanks everyone. This was really such a simple project and I still have lots of buttons left over. The key is to find a frame that is flat and watch the bottom of it if it is on an easel back so that it doesn't fall over because of the buttons along the bottom.
I wasn't sure what to actually put in the frame once it was done. a picture would just detract I think, but maybe a name would be nice.
I'm thinking of pretty pinks for a baby girl, blue for boy.

Way to go Angie! Love the idea so much that I am seriously thinking of "borrowing" it tonight! of course that means I have to find the right frame but I do like what you did - ALOT!....I was in the button mood last night too...finished my necklace of buttons and wanted to do something else with them and nothing just struck me as being "it" until I saw this picture...thanks for posting!

Wow, that looks so cool. What kind of glue did you use?

I made a little project with buttons a while back, and they kept popping off when it was finished. And those were just glued flat, not stacked in layers like yours. I used mod podge. Is there something better, or do you think I just didn't use enough?

Amie, I used a small hot glue gun. It worked really well, you just have to go over the finished project and pick off all the little glue "hairs" that are left. I have a heart shaped Rusell Stover box that I'm thinking about doing next. Oh and I also have a bunch of cigar boxes too....
