The weather report on the sorta local news said fog and then rain this afternoon. Well it is the Seattle News and I do live about 50 miles NE up in the hills---so it could be a bit different.
Two pictures of the sunrise this morning. 7:15AM. Notice the fog and low clouds in the valley. I took these are from my deck. MB

Oh Mary Beth.. those are beautiful.. I used to live in North Bend, Kent, Federal Way and downtown Seattle..I still love the Seattle area. I used to see MT Rainer standing tall and the Olympics and Baker.. You are right there to see them.. I see Shasta now and she is just as regal. We are so fortunate to see these Beauties in all seasons, We are here 24 degrees , Sunshine and weather reports says rain. today. snow for the next couple days.. I see Blue Sky, sunshine all around. hmmmmmmmm Is somebody mistaken?

Cheryl - I didn't know you had lived in that area - I grew up in Seattle, then Redmond. My dad lived in Kirkland from when he was born till he married mom, I have family all over that area - my great-uncle owned a sawmill in Preston. Things have changed so much in that area but it still feels like home - we were just there on Monday and there was a very high overcast so you could see the Olympics, the Cascades and Mt Rainier - like a gift to the soul:)
