I have a vintage decal with a Cowgirl riding a bucking horse -- would love to send it to a Farmgirl who is also a cowgirl!

Email me.

I am not a cowgirl, but I just looked at your blog, and isn't it lovely. I too am under the spell of blue and white. We always had blue and white dishes growing up and I find myself eyeing all things blue and white when I venture out to a garage sale, etc. That little doll coat is magic. I remember once I found a tiny homemade leopard print corduroy doll coat, it was so sweet and funny. It disappeared somewhere....I'm hoping someone has discovered it and is enjoying it.

I love the material you showed, I didn't realize that he designed fabric. They are sweet, and of course polka dots. Got to have them. Yeah, where is Project Runway when we need it? They've got a nerve. That is my idea of a wonderful winter diversion, watching controlled insanity on the teeve.

Another blue and white fan! I collect blue and white Churchill china from England. I only use these on special occasions or for a sunday afternoon tea party! Classic and timeless colors!

So many blue and white fans! We had blue willow dishes when I was growing up. And I have a bit of Dutch heritage, so I love the delft-like potholders -- actually made an apron for my sister from that same repurposed tablecloth -- those potholders are from the 'leftovers'.

Cheryl, I know what you mean about other colors sneaking in. I think that especially with blue and white it's good to keep the color palette restricted. (Although a touch of yellow looks fab, too.)

Karin, I get so inspired to sew watching Project Runway -- it peeves me not to be able to be in the workroom with those kooky designers, especially this winter. Sigh.

Melody, our consignment shop had the prettiest Churchill china last year -- I was especially enamoured by the demitasse cup and saucer (spelled right??). I love the idea of having some special occasion blue and white china.

Still hoping to hear from a cowgirl. Should I post a pic of the vintage decal?

I am from Wyoming and since our logo is a bucking horse, our university mascot is the Cowboys, our "unofficial mascot is "Cowboy Joe" and I have a horse and cows I'd say that I'm a cowgirl. If the other girls don't want it, send it my way. :o)

Emilee sent the first email -- so the decal is hers. Cindy, I'm emailing you.

Sherone, I'll keep you in mind for any other cowboy/girl stuff I might find.

I have lots and lots of Blue willow. Some very old stuff and a set of dinner ware. I LOVE my old stuff best. The patterns are so much nicer and the blue is just more blue. Katie, love your pot holders.

Thanks, Nancy Jo! I love the old blue willow dishes, too -- the cobalt blue is so intense in those. So beautiful and evocative. Do you use your blue willow?
